VERIFICATION & VALIDATION

We specialize in the following services:

  • Electromagnetic compatibility

  • Electrical safety

  • Hardware compliance (compliance of parameters with normative requirements)

  • 3D scan shape inspection

What is "Electromagnetic Compatibility"?

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is the confirmation that a product's parameters comply with the relevant legal requirements.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Every electrical and electronic device emits electromagnetic waves during its operation. Electromagnetic waves behave according to similar laws as light waves or noise waves. However, unlike light and sound waves (in a certain part of the spectrum), electromagnetic waves cannot be seen, heard, felt or otherwise detected by our senses. Nevertheless, electromagnetic waves can be very harmful to us, to humans, animals and various devices.

Therefore, this electromagnetic smog is undesirable and must be verified in all electrical products placed on the market by measuring that the product meets the legal standards for the emission of electromagnetic waves. Furthermore, measuring how resistant a product is to this radiation is an integral part of EMC. A well-designed electrical product should ideally not emit any electromagnetic radiation and should be immune to such potential radiation from the surrounding environment.

The output of the EMC measurement is the issue of a Declaration of Conformity. A Declaration of Conformity is a document issued by the manufacturer, importer or manufacturer's representative confirming that the product meets the requirements set out in the relevant European Directives and Standards and is therefore in conformity with EU legislation.

The Declaration of Conformity must contain information about the product, including the name and type designation of the product, identification of the person who issued the Declaration of Conformity, a description of the purpose of the product, a list of the applicable Directives and Standards that are met, and a description of the procedures that have been used to verify the conformity of the product with the Directives and Standards concerned.

The declaration of conformity is an important document for manufacturers as it allows them to place products on the market in the European Union. The manufacturer must ensure that each product he places on the market has the appropriate declaration of conformity and complies with the requirements of the Directives and standards. A declaration of conformity may be required when products are inspected by consumer protection authorities or imported into countries outside the European Union.

WHO CHECKS IT?

Supervisory authorities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT), such as Customs, the Railway Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Czech Telecommunications Authority, Regional Hygiene Stations and the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS?

A set of documents, in particular measurement protocols, which clearly prove that the product parameters comply with the relevant legislation. If the manufacturer has sufficient know-how and equipment, it can declare CE on the basis of its own measurements and protocols. In other cases, it is necessary to visit a professional body capable of carrying out these measurements and drawing up the relevant documents.

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

We have been developing, verifying and validating electronic equipment for more than two decades. Whether for projects that we develop for you or any of your own products are

We have a state-of-the-art EMC laboratory to perform all tests required by most product standards, including our own EMC chamber:

  • 30 MHz to 18 GHz frequency range
  • Automatically operated turntable with a diameter of 1.2 m and a load capacity of 500 kg
  • maximum dimensions of the product under test 1,000 x 1,000 x 2,000 mm
  • measurement of radiated emissions in the band 30 MHz to 7 GHz (measuring distance 3 m)
  • antenna height 1 to 1.8 m) and measurement of line interference
  • immunity to high-frequency electromagnetic fields
  • uniform field 1,0 m x 1,5 m
  • → up to 12 V/m in the frequency range 80 MHz to 3 GHz from a measuring distance of 3.0 m
  • → up to 3,6 V/m in the frequency range 3 GHz to 6 GHz from a measuring distance of 3,0 m

Our experts are ready to fully support you not only during the whole process of obtaining the CE declaration of conformity, but also during the development of your device.

We pride ourselves on time flexibility. We care about your requirements and needs.
